Doing something different, something creative, something adventurous has always been our motto. Let not funny faces befool you about the seriousness of the trip. It was a pretty darn serious trip, excusing the actors. The idea was simple. We drive. Thats it. We had the car for a day, and we drive for a day, 29 hours to be precise. East was calling us. Our inital estimate was to do 60mph on average, ride for 29hours, and cover atleast 1200miles. |
We started from our homes at about seven in the evening on Friday the 13th. It was a rainy day. Raining cats and dogs. Slowley the rained turned, to desert landscape. No rain, No clouds. But that did not last for long. As we neared Flagstaff, we were greeted by some fine snow. |

It was indeed beauty personified. Peaceful, Pure, Picturesque. |
After driving for almost 12 continuous (we did stop for food and gas) hours, we see the light for the first time. Given our 65mph average speed, we had already recalibrated ourselves for a 1500mile trip instead of 1200. The furthest point was mapped to the well famed Monument Valley on the border of Utah and Arizona. We could have only imagined what was store in for us. |
Repeat with me: It was a pretty darn serious trip, excusing the actors |

Yes those are the mountains we came from. Interestingly, Monument Valley is again Desert. So We went from Coast -> Mountians with torrential rains -> Desert with clear sky -> Mountains with snow -> Desert with Snow. |
